Home / History / Landmarks, Memorials and Monuments / St. Laurence School & Warre Recreation Ground
The original schools were given by Arthur Warre in the 19th century and the Girls' School, was enlarged with help from his wife, Caroline Warre.

Brought together in a new building on a single site in 1985, they continue as St. Laurence Church of England Junior Academy. The recreation ground was given by Arthur Warre to mark Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee.
