Henry Weigall (1829 - 1925)
Henry was a portrait painter famous for his portraits of Disraeli and Sir Moses Haim Montefiore amoung numerous others (many of which are in the National Portrait Gallery).

Lady Rose Weigall (1834 - 1921)
Lady Rose Weigall, daughter of the Earl of Westmarland, devoted her life to improving the lot of the less fortunate, even during the Zeppelin raids of WWI.

Both Lived in Southwood House from August 1880 and it was to remain the home of the Weigalls for the next forty years.
