Below are achievements and accolades that have been won or presented to Ramsgate Town:


In July 2025, Ramsgate Town Council signed up to the Civility and Respect Pledge. This is a commitment to treat everyone with respect, promote good conduct, address bullying, and support a positive culture in local councils through training, strong policies, and ongoing improvement.





In 2024, The Ramsgate Society Civic Community Champion Award for Heritage and Environment was awarded by the Committee of the Society to The Climate Change Task Group, for their continued work to improve Ramsgate's carbon footprint and for introducing relevant initiatives such as The Repair Cafe, The Town Shed and food growing projects.




In 2020, PCSO John Litchfield met Councillor Becky Wing and local resident Davina Green with the South and South East in Bloom Chairman and judges to discuss entering Ramsgate into the competition. The meeting was a great success and they were advised to enter Ramsgate into the Small Seaside Town category.

Residents, Businesses, the Ramsgate Town Council Technicians and Town Promoter all got involved to transform our town for the competition. Ramsgate Town was awarded second with the Silver Gilt Award.




In 2017, a Ramsgate Town Council initiative, Active Ramsgate, was entered into the Kent Health and Beauty Awards for the Community Care Award. Active Ramsgate was awarded GOLD in the Community Care Award for its outstanding achievement and effect its initiatives have had on the local community.






In 2016, Explore Kent awarded Ramsgate Town with the first “We Love Walkers and Cyclists” accreditation status, this is an initiative designed to welcome walkers and cyclists to villages, towns and cities across Kent.







In 2015, Ramsgate Town was entered into a competition by Hotel.info and was voted the UK's Most Lovable Medium Sized Town 2015
