Calling all Ramsgate residents and businesses

Ramsgate town is applying to become a Walkers are Welcome town and we need your help!

The nationwide Walkers are Welcome network promotes walking hotspots to visitors from across the country, helping them to find the perfect destination for a walking break.

With its fantastic walking routes, glorious views and welcoming eateries, shops and accommodation, Ramsgate is already an excellent walking destination and this is the perfect opportunity to showcase it to walkers across the country.

Through becoming part of the Walkers are Welcome network, Ramsgate will see a number of fantastic benefits and opportunities for its residents, businesses and visitors;

• Increased footfall to the town
• Economic benefits to local shops, restaurants, B&Bs, hotels, pubs and cafés
• Strengthens reputation as a walking friendly town
• Promotes local visitor attractions
• Ensures public footpaths remain open and maintained for locals and visitors
• Helps to create new footpaths and walking groups
• Promotes walking as a healthy activity

We are nearly there with the application process but we need your help. All you need to do is follow the link below to add your name to the petition and show your support for Ramsgate to become a Walkers are Welcome Town. It’s that easy, so what are you waiting for?
