Alderman John Simon Geneste Langley

History:
Celebrated "Fifty Years of happy married life" - Unique occasion, no
other member of the corporation has celebrated a golden wedding
anniversary since the inception of the charter.

14 years served as a councillor by Mr. Langley, also Alderman and as a
Mayor.

A one time member of the St. George's football team noted Mr.
Langley's interest in the sport, on behalf of the Ramsgate town team.
