Road Closure - Various Roads

Closures are planned in 3 phases as detailed below, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Phase 1 - Works will be carried out from 12th October 2026, with estimated completion by 1st November 2026.
A255 Park Road will be closed from outside number 3 to the junction of Elmstone Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Park Road, A255 High Street, B2014 Newington Road, A254 Margate Road, Shah Place and vice versa.
Gilber Road will be closed at the junction of A255 Park Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gilbert Road, Elmstone Road, A255 Park Road and vice versa.

Phase 2 - Works will be carried out from 2nd November 2026, with estimated completion by 22nd November 2026.
A255 Park Road will be closed between the junctions of Elmstone Road and Queens Gate Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Park Road, A255 High Street, B2014 Newington Road, A254 Margate Road, Shah Place and vice versa.
Elmstone Road will be closed at the junction of A255 Park Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Elmstone Road, A255 Park Road, Gilbert Road, and vice versa.

Phase 3 - Works will be carried out from 23rd November 2026, with estimated completion by 13th December 2026.
A255 Park Road will be closed between the junctions of Queens Gate Road and Grange Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A255 Park Road, A255 High Street, B2014 Newington Road, A254 Margate Road, Shah Place and vice versa.
Wilfred Road will be closed at the junction of A255 Park Road.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Grange Road will be closed at the junction of A255 Park Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Grange Road, B2054 London Road, A255 Nethercourt Circus, A255 Nethercourt Hill, A255 High Street, A255 Park Road and vice versa. 
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while allowing gas works to be carried out, works are undertaken by SGN.
