News / Statement from the Chair of Ramsgate Town Council, Councillor Steve Albon, on the announcement of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
On behalf of all at Ramsgate Town Council our deepest sympathy goes out to all members of the Royal Family at this very sad time.
The Queen was a unifying figure and an inspiration through her dedication and service to the country.
The flag has been flown at half-mast on the East Cliff, and floral tributes are invited at the Flag Pole at Wellington Crescent and at St. George's Church gates and at places of worship throughout the town.
A Book of condolence will be opened from Monday 12 September 2022 at The Custom House (10am - 4pm) for people to pay their respects.
A Book of condolence will be opened at St. George's Church between 10am and 12noon on Saturday 17 September and between 4pm and 6pm on Sunday 18 September. For details of services and opportunities to sign the book of condolences at St. George’s Church,
