A shout out to all of you who can’t bear leaving your furry companions behind on a day out!

Thanks to the launch of a new Dogs are Welcome initiative by Active Ramsgate, the Ramsgate coastline is the pawfect playground for you and your four-legged friends. With miles of walking trails to explore, the sea for splashing in, sandy beaches to dig holes and chase balls, and plenty of delicious things to sniff, you and your pooch will be living the dream.

Check out Ramsgate’s growing number of dog-friendly pubs, restaurants, cafes, art galleries and attractions. If your dog loves the sea, why not set sail on a boat trip to find your sea-faring legs together! Your dog can even join you out geocaching to dig up hidden treasure (bones!) or on a Costumed Walk to experience Ramsgate’s thespian vibe!

Step out with your dog on Active Ramsgate’s walking trails taking in sandy beaches, bays and cliff top paths. You can explore the coastline together between Ramsgate and Broadstairs, walking along sandy beaches beneath a backdrop of white chalk cliffs for miles and miles.

At the end of a paw-some day, simply kick back with a pint of craft beer or two from one of Ramsgate’s many dog-friendly pubs and taverns. Expect to find bowls of fresh water, treats and plenty of ear-scratches for your visiting pup.

So what are you waiting for? Check out the Dog Friendly page on the Visit Ramsgate website: www.visitramsgate.co.uk/dog-friendly, plan tail wagging adventures for you and your pooch from the range of outdoor activities on offer and look out for the Dogs are Welcome signs in the windows of participating businesses when you are there.
