Home / About Ramsgate / News / Ramsgate Town Council’s Carbon Audit 2017 - 2021

17 July 2022

Since 2017, Ramsgate Town Council has been collating invoices and evaluating its Carbon Footprint. Regular updates have been given to the Planning Committee with necessary recommendations on how to reduce the emissions produced by the Council.

Ramsgate Town Council has since produced a detailed Carbon Audit, showing the progress over a five-year period, from 2017 to 2021.

This document has been adopted since the Council has declared a Climate Change Emergency in February 2022. It will be used as guidance for the newly created Climate Change Working Group.

The full Carbon Audit Report can be read by visiting: www.ramsgatetown.org/town-council/documents

Ramsgate Town Council has established a Climate Change Working Group, which has been set up following the declaration of the Climate Change Emergency by the Council. Its membership will include Councillors and community representatives.

The purpose of the Climate Change Working Group is to influence, facilitate, communicate and carry out projects that will result in a lower carbon footprint for the Council itself and the Ramsgate parish area. The process will be inclusive, comprehensive and positive.
