Kent Police Update - January 2020

Home / About Ramsgate / News / Kent Police Update - January 2020

24 January 2020

Kent Police 20.10.2017
It’s always nice to write another article for the Ramsgate Town Council Community Ad Magazine with some good news.

As I said in my last article, we have lost a few PCSOs from Ramsgate who have joined Kent Police as officers. But the good news is, we have also had a few new replacements. PCSO Maddison Jones has joined me covering Central Harbour, Cliffsend, Nethercourt and Pegwell Wards. This is great news for me and the residents in all of the wards. We have also been joined by PC Proctor, who will assist PC Hitchcock and all of us in Ramsgate, and another PC will be joining us in January. This will mean that Ramsgate will have three full time PCs based in the Ramsgate office, York Street as well as two PCSOs.

Ramsgate Police Station is open Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. When the Station is shut there is a yellow phone outside the front entrance that can be used to report any issues, with a direct line to the control room at Maidstone HQ.

Incidents can be reported via 101 or via the online service that is now available. Please remember that if you witness any crime in progress call 999.

PCSO Jones and I will continue to hold our monthly surgery at Ramsgate Library, 10:30am – 11:30am on the following dates:

Wednesday February 12, 2020
Wednesday March 11, 2020
Saturday April 4, 2020

Thank You to the Ramsgate Library Staff for all their assistance.

PC Jones and I will be in attendance at the Neighbourhood Engagement meetings with other agencies. The dates to be Confirmed.
