Crufts 2018
Dean Williams has been competing in Dog Agility for 12 years and has now qualified for Crufts, The World’s Largest Dog Show. He runs and trains a 5 year old Papillion called Obe, whose official Kennel Club name is Cintarshe Silver Obsidian.

Dean and Obe recently competed at the Kennel Club International Festival, which is the UK’s largest agility show. He entered the Novice Cup and ran two rounds. By combining the scores of both rounds he came 14 out of 180 competitors. This then took him through to the Semi-Final where he came fourth and qualified for the Novice Cup Final at Crufts next year.

Dean is trained weekly by Andy Longley, Bob Humfrey and Heather Wright at Flying Fur Agility at Cottington Farm.

Dean said:All the hardwork and training has paid off! Crufts will certainly be an experience, one that I will enjoy and treasure.

Bob Humfrey, Dean’s Trainer at Flying Fur Agility said:Great Team, Dean and Obe both worked hard to get there, no stopping you guys now, well done!

As well as qualifying for Crufts, Dean finished his season by coming Third in the Dogs In Need Classic Final.

Since the start of the season (April), Dean and Obe have won: 13 x Trophies; 17 x Firsts ; 7 x Seconds; 4 x Thirds; 9 x Fourths; 4 x Fifths; 1 x Sixth; 1 x Eighth; 5 x Clear Rounds and 1 x Finalist Rosette as well as a place at Crufts.
