News / Kent Community Foundation - Environmental Project Funding 2026

Kent Community Foundation is inviting environmental groups to apply for funding to deliver projects that protect, enhance and celebrate the natural environment, and bring people together to care for their local community spaces.
Kent Community Foundation supports organisations to make a positive difference in their communities across Kent and Medway. Through their Environment impact area, they back local people and grassroots organisations to take practical action, from improving green spaces to building awareness and resilience in the face of climate challenges.
Previous grants have supported a wide range of initiatives, including:
- Community gardens and green spaces - maintaining, developing and improving places where people can grow and connect
- Recycling and waste reduction - practical local solutions that reduce waste and encourage reuse
- Citizen science and nature monitoring - helping communities measure, record and protect wildlife and habitats
- Environmental education and awareness - activities that build knowledge, skills and confidence to take positive action
This list isn’t exhaustive - if your idea brings people together to care for their local environment, Kent Community Foundation would love to hear from you.
