Ramsgate Grower Wins Top Honours at National Dahlia Show

Ramsgate’s Andrew Aspital has triumphed at the National Dahlia Society’s annual show at RHS Wisley, winning multiple awards, including the coveted prize for Best Vase in the entire show.

With around 1,000 vases on display, the victory marks an outstanding achievement for Mr Aspital, who has been carefully cultivating his prize-winning blooms throughout the summer.

“I was thrilled with the results – to win Best Vase among so many incredible growers is just amazing,” he said. “I think this year I may have leaned a little more on watering than usual, as July was especially hot, but the plants really responded.”

Mr Aspital also expressed his gratitude to Ramsgate Town Council for their ongoing support of his work, noting the importance of community backing in achieving success at such a prestigious event.

The dazzling display of dahlias is a testament to months of dedication, careful cultivation, and a deep passion for horticulture.
