News / Great Ramsgate Spring Clean
Between Friday March 21 and Sunday March 30, local volunteers, Councillors and officers from Ramsgate Town Council came together for The Great Ramsgate Spring Clean 2025. The annual Spring Clean is led nationally by Keep Britain Tidy, and locally it’s co-ordinated by the Ramsgate Litter Forum, which brings together the Town Council, the District Council and local voluntary litter picking groups to try to tackle Ramsgate’s litter problems.
During this time, there were 19 organised litter picks across all areas of Ramsgate, and a whopping 373 bags of rubbish were collected.
A huge thank you to all of the volunteers, Councillors and officers who took part.

CleanupUK Litter Picking Hubs:
Did you know that CleanupUK has Litter Picking Hubs in Thanet? Cleanup Hubs are spaces for volunteer groups and individuals to store litter picking equipment. They also help people to secure equipment and provide promotional support to get started. You can find more about this in Thanet District Council’s latest Action Against Litter newsletter:
