Ramsgate Day is growing as an annual celebration of Ramsgate town, its businesses and shops. This year’s event is on Saturday July 5, and it’s paired with Independents’ Day, supporting independent shops.
We are asking you to come and show the love for our quirky, characterful seaside town – a town rich in heritage, with golden sands, a huge variety of shops and businesses and a brilliant football team! It’s easy to feel things are going wrong, but at heart, our town is a wonderful place full of good people.
Things to look out for at Ramsgate Day include:
- Shops throughout the town and the Independents’ Trail.
- The Teenage Market where young entrepreneurs, makers and developers show and sell their work.
- Peter & Keith’s Ramsgate Films, running through the day in Silvers Bar, Harbour Street.
- Food & Goods Marketplace and Music in the town centre.
- Games in Albert Court.
- Musicians on stage all day, including the Ravensgate Singers, Gaddzukes and Neon Rush to close the show (4pm - 5pm).
We are inviting you to come and join in and show your love for Ramsgate. Thinking Past, Present and Future, there will be things to discover, to buy, to enjoy and bring the love back to town and to our traders. The day is run by Ramsgate Town Council and the Teenage Market is appearing thanks to Thanet District Council and UK Government funding.
