You've probably witnessed someone trembling or shaking after a stressful event — maybe after an accident, when receiving bad news or after childbirth?
This is often perceived as embarrassing or as being out of control, but this is a natural response is one of your body’s most effective ways to discharge the excess energy and return your nervous system to a state of calm.
When experiencing extreme stress, our nervous system activates this tremoring response, an innate way to support us. This response isn’t a sign of weakness or loss of control — it’s your body’s way of reassurance: “I’m helping you get through this.”

Next time you see someone tremoring after a stressful situation, please resist the urge to stop them.
