Formed in 2025, we are a community choir, open to all, performing Classic Gospel and Feel-Good Music in our community. Previously, we were called ‘Thanet Community Gospel Choir’ but we wanted a shorter name that better represents what we do:
- We’re a performance group; and we are very proud to sing Christian songs, but we perform plenty of secular music, also.
- All of our music is about feeling good, and this is something that the choir focuses on through social activities in addition to singing.
- We’re an inclusive choir so we’re less reliant on soloists.
Our repertoire stretches back to the earliest Gospel Songs, recorded at the beginning of the 20th Century and explores their influence on secular, popular music. Regardless of song choice, all of our music is chosen to uplift and inspire you.
We’re always looking for singers and musicians to join our group. If you're interested, you can come along to rehearsals with no obligation; sit in and listen or join in and sing. We'll lend you some music and you can try out with us until a decision is made. There's nothing to pay until you decide to stay.
Thanet Jubilee Singers meet every Thursday (during school term times) from 7pm to 9pm at Newington Free Church, St John's Avenue, Ramsgate, CT12 6DR. Visit the website:
