Ramsgate Croquet Club would love to introduce you to the game of croquet! Perhaps 2025 is the year you decide to give it a go! If you’re looking for an activity which satisfies your competitive instinct or just fancy a friendly game and getting to know some new people, why not give croquet a go? All that is needed is a pair of flat-soled shoes as the Club provides all other equipment including mallets.
The club closes from the end of December until the beginning of March - depending on the weather, of course. We are always keen to welcome new members to the club and would love you to come along when we reopen. We offer free taster sessions to all who might be interested.
Croquet is enjoyed by all ages and abilities - you don’t need any experience. It’s an ideal game for people who might find other sports more challenging. It’s a great way to get outdoors, be active and meet new people.
We are situated in a beautiful location on the Royal Esplanade overlooking the sea and are a friendly, welcoming bunch of croquet enthusiasts.
Our club has four immaculately kept lawns and is regarded as one of the most beautiful settings in the country. We host our own events and competitions as well as major tournaments attended by some of the highest-ranking players in the country and, indeed, the world.
We host social functions for visiting groups and organisations and have a lovely clubhouse complete with a licensed bar. If you belong to a group who would be interested in coming along, please just get in touch.
