31 March 2025

Looking for a safe, secure way to get rid of unwanted mobiles, tablets or laptops? Do you want to reduce your environmental impact for free? KCC can help you!

About the scheme
Did you know that devices that are no longer needed and discarded contribute to Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and can end up in landfill? This is the fastest growing type of waste in the UK. KCC’s Device Recycling Scheme aims to refurbish and reuse electrical devices wherever possible in the local community.

What happens to your items
We use a specialist process to ensure 100% data-wiping, to the strictest UK legislative standards. Businesses or organisations will be provided with data erasure certification for auditing purposes.

Your device is then refurbished and reused to support those in your community who could benefit from a device, or recycled with a zero-landfill policy.

How to use the scheme
Simply book a collection slot at www.devicerecyclingscheme.co.uk and KCC will collect your equipment.
