This training is aimed at those working (or volunteering) for charities, community groups, CICs, who work directly with volunteers, ideally, but not necessarily, in a supervisory-type role.

Our Best Practice Training are information sessions covering, for example, the processes, paperwork, rules and legislation around each topic with optional networking at the start and end.

The topics will include:

• What is the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)?
• Eligibility for higher levels of DBS
• Handling DBS information and certificates
• What to look for on a certificate
• Recruitment of Ex-Offenders Policy
• Safer Recruitment Policy
• Common myths around DBS
• Policies and procedures that can be useful
• Opportunity to network
