Join Ramsgate Town Council’s Climate Action Initiative: Save Money this Winter!

As the winter approaches, Ramsgate Town Council's (RTC) Climate Change Task Group is launching a new initiative - and we need your help! We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are eager to save money on their bills while making a positive impact on the environment.

What’s the Project About?
We’re putting together a team of volunteer residents to test out simple, cost-effective ways to reduce energy and water consumption over the winter. Whether it's installing low-energy light bulbs, using small space heaters, or setting up garden water butts to cut down on water usage, our goal is to see how these easy changes can help you save money.

How It Works:

• Bill Comparison: You’ll need to have your previous year utility bills handy so that we can compare them before and after the trial. This will help us measure the effectiveness of these small changes.
• No Cost to You: Don’t worry about expenses - RTC will cover the cost of any appliances or equipment needed for the trial.
• Share the Impact: The results will be featured in future editions of our magazine, showcasing how these simple steps can lead to significant savings and environmental benefits, acting as a case study for other residents to try. Rest assured; your personal details will remain confidential.
