NOTICE OF ELECTION

Election of a Parish Councillor
RAMSGATE TOWN COUNCIL
(NEWINGTON WARD)
1. Forms of nomination for the Parish Election may be obtained at Thanet District Council, Election Office, Council Offices, Cecil Street, Margate, Kent, CT9 1XZ from the Returning Officer who will, at the request of an elector for any electoral area prepare a nomination paper for signature.
2. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer at Thanet District Council Election Office, Council Offices, Cecil Street, Margate, Kent, CT9 1XZ between 9.00am and 5.00pm on any working day from the date of publication of this notice (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4.00pm on Friday 5 April 2024.
3. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 2 May 2024.
4. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 16 April 2024. Applications can be made online:
https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
5. New applications, amendments, or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5.00pm on Wednesday 17 April 2024.
6. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector's Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Thanet District Council, Election Office, Council Offices, Cecil Street, Margate, Kent, CT9 1XZ by 5.00pm on 24/04/2024.
7. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Thanet District Council, Election Office, Council Offices, Cecil Street, Margate, Kent, CT9 1XZ by 5.00pm on Wednesday 24 April 2024.
8. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Thanet District Council, Election Office, Council Offices, Cecil Street, Margate, Kent, CT9 1XZ by 5.00pm on Thursday 2 May 2024.
