Tribute to Councillor Kay Dark

Ramsgate Town Council pays tribute to the late Councillor Kay Dark, former Deputy Mayor of Ramsgate, on the day of her funeral. Councillor Dark's passing leaves a significant absence in our Council, as she was not only a dedicated public servant but also a close friend to many. Her wit, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to serving the community are deeply ingrained in our memories.

Although Councillor Dark only returned to the Town Council following the May 2023 elections, her contributions spanned far beyond her recent tenure. Many of us had the privilege of working alongside her during her time as Mayor in 2008 with the Charter Trustees of Ramsgate, as a Town Councillor from 2009-2011, and of course, her notable service at Thanet District Council.

As we bid farewell, our thoughts are with her children during this challenging period. Councillor Kay Dark will be remembered fondly for her indelible mark on our community and her legacy of service.
