Ban on single-use plastics

From Sunday October 1, 2023, businesses in England were no longer able to supply, sell or offer a number of single-use plastic items including:

• plastic plates, trays, bowls and cutlery
• balloon sticks
• polystyrene cups
• polystyrene food boxes and containers
