Saving Water - Help the Planet and Your Wallet

Using less water is a win-win - it saves you money and helps maintain water supplies, making it less likely we'll suffer nasties like sewage releases onto our beaches or annoyances like hosepipe bans.

Southern Water explains: "Did you know that the Southeast of England is officially water-stressed? With hotter summers and less rainfall, the water in our rivers, aquifers and reservoirs gets topped up less often. And a growing population in our region means we have more people and less water to go round. While we are working hard to increase our storage capacity and reduce leakage, we should all look to use less water where we can. Thankfully, when we work together, small changes make a lot of difference."

Southern Water has lots of useful advice to offer on cutting your water use. They also do free home visits to spot leaks, advise on ways to make the most of your water supply and give away freebies like water-saving shower heads, tap inserts and garden hose guns.
