Ramsgate Town Council Ukrainian Support Group

Our group has now been running for over a year and has developed from being set up in the first place by Ramsgate Town Councillors, to being run by Ukrainian residents themselves.

We no longer meet on weekdays at The Custom House as many people are now working – but the group runs a drop-in session at Ramsgate Salvation Army most Saturdays (11am – 1pm), as well as other sessions around Thanet run by Kent County Council’s Ukrainian Support Team. And our Ukrainian colleague Nadia Grigorieva, who helped us set up the support group initially, is now working for Thanet District Council as a specialist Ukrainian Housing Officer, offering support and help on housing matters.

The group also runs a WhatsApp group with nearly 200 members which is a mine of useful information! To join, please contact one of us and we’ll put you in touch.
