Saturday November 11 is Armistice Day which commemorates the end of World War I. There will be a wreath laying ceremony at the ‘Destiny’ memorial in Albion Gardens at 9am followed by a Service in the Town Centre at 10:45am with a Two Minute Silence at 11am.

His Majesty the King has appointed Sunday November 12 as a day of Remembrance for those who died in the World Wars of 1914 - 1918 and 1939 – 1945 and subsequent conflicts, and arrangements have been made for the representation of ex-Service Organisations and other bodies at Divine Service at St. George’s Church, Ramsgate. The Mayor of Ramsgate, Councillor Pat Moore, Ramsgate Town Councillors, and other distinguished guests will attend.
Detachments are asked to assemble in the car park of
Chatham and Clarendon School, Chatham Street, CT11 7PS.
The parade will move off at 10:40am along Chatham Street turn left on to the High Street, left on to King Street, left on to Broad Street and left on to Church Hill where the service will take place in St George’s Church.
“At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month – we will remember them.”
