The future of walking and cycling in Thanet

You may remember that in June we updated you on the project we have been working on with Sustrans, to create a walking/cycling network across Thanet. The aim of this work is to make it easier for people in Thanet to walk and/or cycle around the Isle.

Sustrans has created an interactive map where people can add their comments, key destinations and any desired walking/cycling routes. The data gathered as part of this engagement will help us to understand who is walking or cycling, where they way to go and the routes that they take. It will also help us to identify those people who do not currently walk or cycle, and what we can do to make it easier for them.

The interactive map can be found here, and it will be live until Sunday 13 August.
