News / A Message from the Mayor of Ramsgate - December 2022
Greetings to you all! What a wonderful summer season we have had.
This year’s Ramsgate Carnival proved to be a great success. My thanks to all the participants and local support.
Another success is Ellington Park, which has been awarded the Green Flag Award and the Green Heritage Site accreditation. The hard work and dedication of Friends of Ellington Park continues to delight visitors and locals alike and has transformed a once neglected park into a community hub.
I was delighted to attend another community project at the Jackey Baker’s Allotment site. Their summer fete was a chance for the allotment tenants to showcase their talents to locals and visitors and I was honoured to judge their efforts.
Our summer events and hospitality had visitors flocking to Ramsgate. My heartfelt thanks go to all the committee members, fundraisers and volunteers who have made the carnival and other community events possible.
Thanks to all the hard work of new and established businesses, our town continues to grow and thrive. I also want to thank local residents for supporting local businesses and our community.
Once again, I wish you well and thank you for your support. I will continue to be available as your Mayor and Central Harbour Ward Councillor. If you would like to invite me as Mayor to attend an event, please contact my PA,
kim.hobbs@ramsgatetc.org.uk.
Feel free to contact me at any time if you need any help from me in my role as Councillor.
