Percy Turner


Years Elected: 1950, 1951

History:
Gave Service to town, with emphasis on his work to establish the
illuminations.

Also he had been closely involved in the purchase of the 'Regency'
which he saw as an asset to the town in the right hands.

Unfortunately Councillor Turner has become ill during his term of office
which restricted his activities.

Councillor Butcher described Councillor Turner as "a good business
man, a grand sportsman and a tip-top man".

Also has been very keen to re-establish Ramsgate as a premier sea-side
resort, and aimed his energy in that direction.
