History:
First Mayor of Ramsgate, prior to which he played a large part in
local affairs, member of the old Board of Improvement Commissioners.
Reach the age of 86.

Was formerly in business in Ramsgate 1858, took over a farm at
Nethercourt retiring a few years after.

Died on Wednesday 27th September 1903, at his residence in Dane
Park Road, Ramsgate.
