History:
1st matter of importance for the Mayor of 1913, was the opening of the
new Ellington Schools.

In May, the East Cliff extension has been completed.

June saw the visit of the Foreign editors but had not benefited the town
as anticipated because of the war.

July 18th, the town clerk and members of the corporation had been
present at the installation of the Lord Warden at Dover.

July 22nd, New bathing station opened.

July 25th, The West Cliff Concert Hall had been opened.

Then they were forced with the problems brought on by the war, which
slowed down or stopped any new developments.

Nevertheless, Councillor Cook managed to bring dignity and tact to the
office.
