History:
A House Furnisher, was elected Councillor in 1928 and Alderman in
1932.

Was Mayor in 1933 and 1934. Born in 1884 son of Elijah Dye, he married
Miss Paul in 1904 and had two sons.

His first year as Mayor was very successful. Noted as an excellent
negotiator during his council service. Handled the transfer of the control
of the Harbour to the corporation.

Involved with the historical pageant to celebrate Ramsgates 50th year
of incorporation.

As Mayor actively involved with such developments in Ramsgate as, an
up-to-date bathing pool, and municiple aerodrome.
