Get ready to kick off the festive season at Ramsgate's Christmas Lights Switch-On! This joyful event will take place on Sunday, 24th November, from 11am to 5pm in the town centre, with the lights set to be switched on at around 4:30pm.
Bring the family along for a fun-filled Christmas Lights Switch On event that kickstarts Ramsgate Lumiere - a six-week festival of light, showcasing all the spectacular light displays that make Ramsgate so special! The Switch On will feature naughty elves, face painting, children's rides, snow machine, live entertainment, and the wonderful handmade market stalls. Other highlights include Miss Ramsgate and her court, children’s craft workshops, Santa’s Grotto, Hotsy Totsy, This Bean Spins with her Circus Workshops & Light and Bubble Displays and an exciting Elfish Trail for kids to explore. Grinch and the Granville Panto will also be performing in the lead up to the Switch On around 4:30pm.
Santa's Grotto will be held at Sugar Rush on the High Street (the old WHSmith building) along with the circus workshops, face painting and an extra indoor market offering. Lantern making workshops will be at Arts in Ramsgate (next to the Post Office) and these lanterns can be used for the mini-parade up to see the light projections at St. George's straight after the Switch On AND you can also use your lanterns for the big New Year's Eve Parade (follow

To receive your special gift from Santa, children need to complete the Elfish Trail (check those schoolbags for the trail flyer!) and hand it in to Santa's helper.
