News / Ramsgate Fruit Tree Initiative: A Flourishing Success
We are delighted to announce the successful completion of our fruit tree initiative. All 75 trees have now been distributed to residents and planted, helping to make Ramsgate greener, healthier, and more vibrant.
This initiative was designed to improve biodiversity, air quality, and community engagement. We thank the enthusiastic participation from residents across all Ramsgate’s wards. It has been a resounding success.
Ward-by-Ward Breakdown:
Central Harbour Ward: 18 trees planted
Eastcliff Ward: 22 trees planted
Nethercourt Ward: 11 trees planted
Newington Ward: 9 trees planted
Northwood Ward: 7 trees planted
Pegwell Ward: 6 trees planted
Sir Moses Montefiore Ward: 2 trees planted
These numbers reflect the community’s collective commitment to environmental responsibility and local beautification.
As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we will be following up with participants in six months’ time to check on the progress of the trees.
And there’s more to come! Keep an eye out this autumn as we may be launching another fruit tree initiative. Further details will be shared soon.
A huge thank you to all who took part. Your involvement has helped sow the seeds of a greener future for Ramsgate.
