11 September 2025

Schools are back and people are settling down to the thought that the holidays are over and that Autumn is almost upon us. And yet, September isn't going to be passed by!

There are lots of events and groups using the chance of a prolonged Summer by making the most of long days and warm nights before they disappear. None more so than the National Garden Scheme (NGS) and the annual opening of Ramsgate Gardens. A group of beautiful town gardens open to the public for you to also enjoy the last of Summer’s offerings. Dahlias, salvias, cosmos, the ever-stunning grasses, there's so much colour and life in a garden still. There's no end to Summer just yet!

So, join us on September 14 to walk around four beautiful gardens in Vale Square and Grange Road; ready to show you late Summer at its best. Tea, coffee and cakes will also be served. Gardens open at £5 per head, helping the NGS raise money for nursing charities.

The featured gardens include:
  • 104 Grange Road – Hosted by Anne-Marie Nixey
  • 6 Vale Square – Home of Stephen Davies
  • 10 Vale Square – Tended by Mr Graham & Mrs Alyson Brett
  • 51 Vale Square – Cared for by Bindi Holding

It's a fabulous day, we're in our sixth year and there's always something new to see. So from 12noon to 5pm, rain or shine, the tearoom is under cover. Come and enjoy September with us and know that Autumn can wait just a tad longer!
