The Marina View is a contemporary restaurant set within the historic Royal Temple Yacht Club in Ramsgate.
The building has overlooked the harbour since 1895 when the club members moved down from the Temple Steps on the River Thames in London and purchased the property. The Club was granted its Royal Charter a year later.
Our new chef joined the team in June and brings with him many years of experience of working in restaurants in Kent including a period when he worked as an oysterman harvesting oysters in Whitstable.
He is eager to showcase his cooking skills to a new audience by changing the menu every month using seasonal vegetables and locally sourced produce which can be enjoyed whilst looking out over the stunning views of the UK’s only Royal Harbour.
As everything is cooked fresh, he is able to cater for different dietary requirements but would ask that we are given notice in advance.
Reviews have been glowing, with one customer saying: “We had a delicious three course meal, the restaurant room is lovely with views of the harbour, the service was excellent, and everyone was very friendly”.
The restaurant is currently open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 5:30pm and also offers roasts on Sunday afternoons. To book a table, please call the Yacht Club on 01843 591766.
