History:
Entered town council in 1919, in 1926 was elected Mayor.

Had honour of officially receiving the Prince of Wale's when he visited
Ramsgate in 1926 (Re-elected Mayor for 1927).

For several years held position of District Commissioner of the
Baden-Powell boy scouts.

Also a commissioner for income tax, a leading member of the
conservative party.

Vice-president of Ramsgate bench of the British Legion.

Was arrested 6th March (Tuesday) 1928 and brought up at town hall
when J.P.s were present Mr. H.C. Child presiding.

65 years old Llewellyn was charged with committing an act of "gross
indecency" with another male person, contrary to Section II of the
Criminal Law. Amendment Act 1885. Sentenced by Old Bailey to six
months in prison.
