Exhibition at the Orangerie (Priory Park) from April 28 to May 13, 2018

Opening hours (free admission):
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 2pm - 5:30pm
Saturday and Sunday: 10am - 12noon and 2pm - 5:30pm

Welcome provided by the Europe and Conflans Twinning Committee through the ages

On the sidelines of the exhibition, events are organized in Conflans:

Saturday, 28 April
  • 3pm: conference "Europe of yesterday and international relations", by Wolfgang Hombach, Bouyssel room
  • 5pm: tribute in songs by the Free expression group of the MJC Les Terrasses, Bouyssel room

Saturday, 5 May
  • 4pm: concert on war and peace by the Cantamus choir of Chimay, at the Saint-Jean-Marie-Vianney church (free admission).

This choir, created in 2011 in Cul-des-Sarts (Belgium), wants "to convey a message through music that brings people together and transcends differences, across linguistic and national boundaries."

Saturday, 12 May
  • 11am: Reading of texts by Henri Barbusse and Louis Aragon by Luis, storyteller, at the Blaise-Cendrars Media Library
  • 4pm: conference "Women during the Great War" by Sylvie Brodziak, at the Blaise-Cendrars Media Library

Sunday, 13 May
  • 4pm: play Maurice Gauchez, a poet in the trenches, at the George Gershwin Conservatory (free admission)

Thursday, 31 May
  • 9:30am and 2pm: Theater 14-18 Small stories of the Great War, by the Uvol Theater, at the Simone-Signoret Theater. Price: 10 euros (group rate 10 people: 9 euros). Reservations: F. Créach (fanfan.creach@gmail.com)
