/ We are Made In Ramsgate
The ‘Made In’ theme has spread to Ramsgate, home to a whole host of makers and artists. The first ever show will take place on Saturday 11th February at The Custom House, home to the Visitor Information Centre on Harbour Parade.
This one-off event showcases just a few of Ramsgate’s makers, many whose work you will rarely get to see locally, so we are in for a treat! Open from 11am, the show includes: contemporary textiles by Jane Ellison; pottery by Mike Child; digital art by Matthew Dunn; jewellery and textiles by Ella Wood; melamine tableware by Jenny Duff and glass by Janice Gibbs. Entry is free and after visiting the show, you can see lots more handmade work by local and East Kent makers at Nice Things in the same building, all helped by a great cup of coffee in the Custom Coffee House! A perfect antidote to the everyday Saturday shop.
Anyone interested in finding out more, or taking part in the future should contact Suzy via firstname.lastname@example.org
and to get a glimpse of the work on show, check the Meet the Makers page at www.nice-things.co.uk
. We're really delighted that maker/designer Ella Wood has designed the first flyer.
